The NorCal Deaf Elders Association provides social programming, health education, and resource navigation for Deaf and Hard of Hearing adults aged 55 and older throughout the Bay Area and Northern California. Our monthly Deaf Seniors Brunch rotates among accessible restaurants and includes informational presentations on topics like Medicare, assistive technology, estate planning, and fall prevention — all delivered in ASL. We coordinate transportation assistance, connect members with Deaf-friendly healthcare providers, and partner with area agencies on aging to ensure Deaf elders are included in mainstream senior services. The Association also hosts an annual recognition luncheon honoring Deaf community elders for their lifetime contributions.
