Deaf Hiking Club: Mount Tamalpais
About This Event
Monthly group hike on Mt. Tam for Deaf and Hard of Hearing nature lovers
๐ Official Website โ๐ Full Details
The Deaf Hiking Club meets monthly to explore trails across the Bay Area, and this month the destination is the iconic Mount Tamalpais in Marin County. The moderate 5-mile loop takes hikers through old-growth redwoods and coastal scrub with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, San Francisco skyline, and Mount Diablo. The group communicates entirely in ASL, creating a peaceful hiking experience free of the auditory overload of mixed groups. All paces are welcome โ the club splits into a faster and more leisurely group at the trailhead. Bring water, snacks, and layers for Marin fog.
